Morgan started going on mission trips with her youth group in 7th grade. Morgan has been on trips inside the United States, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, the Bahamas, and Honduras.
In 2009 Morgan traveled to Puerto Lempira, Honduras and spent 2 weeks with a team from Texas at a home for partially handicapped and malnourished children. Morgan returned to Auburn for her junior year and couldn’t stop thinking about that little town in Honduras. Morgan spent the summer of 2010 as a 3 month volunteer at the same children’s home. She was praying through if this was where the Lord wanted her to be and what exactly she was to do. During that summer, a grandmother came to Morgan and ask her to take her malnourished 6 month old grand daughter. It was in that moment that Morgan realized that Puerto Lempira, Honduras was where she was supposed to be and being mommy to kids who needed a family was what she was supposed to do. Morgan returned to Auburn to finish her senior year and then moved to Puerto Lempira full time in the spring of 2011. Morgan currently has custody of 3 children that she is in the process of adopting. Morgan would like to continue to be a family to more children who need a family while still raising the children in their culture.
